Estate Living: On the Estate Living platform, there are regular references about, and excellent articles on, retirement living. Are the golf estates and communities perhaps missing out on this key ‘emerging’ market? We touch upon this in BG Magazine’s Estates of Play (page 66), because, according to WHO’s (World Health Organisation) stats, this sector will continue to grow as the global population ages. Missing out in the sense that how nice it would be to think that with retirement, which can often be in three phases (the first move, then the downsize move and finally the need for assisted living), the transitions could all be handled within a single community’s environment.
